Details: I left a phone message and issued an email to Mr. Martins regarding the recent confirmed total coliform positive samples.
I informed him of the specific positive sites, the missing triggered sample, and the required 3 temporary routines for April.
The system plans on system wide shock chlorination within the next week, as well as some faucet replacements.
It appears that there may have been several insufficient protocols in sampling from our local lab including 30 second flushing, no removal of aerators, lack of sanitizing the faucet ends, and in this recent case, overlooking the triggered sample. I plan on having a discussion with the lab to be sure this does not continue.
I will also reach out to Russ Kazmierczak to review current options with this system related to the recent coliform sampling history.
