| Details: | Tier 2 notice posted for not meeting turbidity standards. 04.04.2023-Steve posted a Tier 2 notice on March 31, 2023. Turbidity measurements were over 0.3 NTU on March 10th through the 13th, and also on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 27th. The standard is that no more than 5 percent of samples may exceed 0.3 NTU per month. Normal turbidity at the plant is 0.1-0.3 NTU. Steve informed me that the dam at the creek is filling up with silt again and is in need of cleaning. They are also trying to locate a leak on the line that goes up hill to the west storage tank. Customers were verbally notified of the high NTU readings on March 10th and March 24th. Public notice posted on March 31, 2023. Next steps: The system is planning to clean the dam, locate the leak and fix it. |
