| Details: | Theoretical contact time recalculated 04.04.2023-Jonathan reported that the system installed a flow restrictor (Dole valve) rated at 5 gpm. The theoretical contact time is now 47.4 minutes. This is the contact time used for daily CT calculations since March 24, 2023. Assuming a worst-case scenario (during winter months) where water temp is as low as 5.0 Cº and assuming Ph 7.00, the system’s required CT would be met if a minimum of 1.3 mg/L free chlorine residual is maintained at the entry point. A tracer study may still be required depending on the results of the feasibility study for a new WTR. |
