| Details: | Informed water operator that their coliform monitoring has increased to monthly. A letter was mailed to them stating the following: RE:Coliform Monitoring change for the BLOOMING JUNCTION public water system, OR4195605 You must begin monitoring for coliform bacteria at your water system every month, beginning in March 2023 because the criteria for increased monitoring in OAR 333- 061-0036(6)(b)(C) was met. OAR 333-061-0036(6)(b)(C) specifies that monitoring must be increased if any of the following occur within a 1 year period: • Violation for exceeding the maximum contaminant level for E. coli; •Violation for not completing and reporting a coliform investigation by due date; •Violation for not correcting sanitary defects found during a coliform investigation by approved due date; • A level 2 coliform investigation is triggered; •Two violations for routine coliform monitoring (for not collecting a required sample); or •A level 1 coliform investigation is triggered and one violation for routine coliform monitoring. As a reminder, you need to submit these monthly sample results to Drinking Water Services no later than 10 days after the end of the month in one of the following ways: • Fax the report to (971) 673-0694 • Email the report to: DWP.DMCE@odhsoha.oregon.gov • Mail the report to: Water Quality Reports P.O. Box 14350 Portland, OR 97293-0350 You may be eligible to return to quarterly monitoring after completing one year of monitoring and the other criteria in OAR 333-061-0036(6)(b)(D) have been met.
