Details: | Survey deficiencies-update Membrane filtration operation is not LT2 compliant: Jared reported that the membrane filter has been operating as a pre-filter. The form that was filled out by Travis in 2014 reporting their intent to provide max treatment was inaccurate. To address this issue, the system is now choosing to conduct source water E. coli monitoring to comply with the LT2 rule requirements. Jared submitted a copy of the monitoring schedule. The system will initiate E. coli monitoring on May 10, 2023. Next step: collect one raw water sample every 2 weeks throughout the operating period starting on May 10, 2023, to end of operating period. Failure to calculate CT values correctly: The system is receiving assistance from Civil West to conduct a tracer study to determine the actual chlorine contact time. A time extension (new due date is September 8, 2023) has been granted to finalize the tracer study. Turbidimeters not calibrated at least quarterly: Jared requested a time extension to calibrate the turbidimeters and set up a quarterly monitoring schedule. The calibration standards have been ordered. Time extension granted to August 1, 2023. membrane filtration DIT does not meet rule requirements: The membrane filter is currently operating as a pre-filter. DIT is not required if the unit is operated as a pre-filter. |
