| Details: | On 5/12 DWS was notified that Mount Angel had a positive TC detection (negative E. coli) at the school district office sampling site. The required repeats and triggered source samples were collected on 5/12 and one distribution sampling site, 705 E Marquam came back positive for TC. Both these sampling sites are outside spigots. The system is required to complete a Level 2 investigation due to having two investigations within a 12-month rolling period. Level 2 investigation was conducted by DWS on 5/25 with the DRC and another staff member. Frequent distribution system and reservoir flushing, along with outdoor sampling site used for the downstream repeat are the believed causes of the +TC detections. Iron is also present and potentially iron bacteria. Staff practice very good sampling protocols and have a detailed coliform sampling plan, but there is often wind during sampling. |
