| Details: | Contacted Matt about nitrate sample collected 5/17 at EP-A measured at 8.93 mg/L. Historically, quarterly monitoring has been conducted. Asked if there been any changes to treatment processes or issues that would reflect elevated nitrate, and steps being taken to further evaluate nitrate levels. Waiting to hear back from Matt to decide if quarterly monitoring is needed to evaluate trends and potential to exceed the MCL. 6/7/23: The city is monitoring nitrate in-house three days a week throughout the year to maximize efficiency of blending process. Sample was high when Well MC #1 was turned on and historically this well has had the highest nitrate levels compared to other wells. The city has adjusted monitoring to quarterly at EP-A to evaluate if it is a seasonal issue that can be mitigated with blending. Online schedule has been updated to quarterly monitoring at EP-A starting July 1st, 2023. |
