| Details: | John Amery notified NCPHD on 5/31/23 that the SRC AA- (Upper Well) would require water supplementation from SRC BA (Lower Well) for customer water demand. They are currently close to running out of water and if the lower well is not activated, customers could be out of water for up to 2 weeks. SRC-BA Lower Well has been monitoring Nitrates every 2 weeks by Hiland Water Co. and the most recent results recorded 4.2 mg/l and 2.57 mg/l, less than 1/2 the MCL for Nitrate of 10 mg/l. A public notice was recommended to be hand delivered to all customers and a copy of the notice was also sent to NCPHD for record keeping. The system will continue to sample every 2 weeks and will notify NCPHD if any of the samples exceed 5 mg/l. | ||
