| Details: | I received an alert on 5/8/23 for 2 lead and copper excursions for the month of April. pH dropped from 7.5 on 4/10 to 7.18 on 4/11 and 6.86 on 4/12 before coming back up to 7.5 on 4/13 resulting in two excursions for the month. The minimum pH is set at 7.4 with a minimum alkalinity of 40 mg/l as CaCO3. The system operator has been working with the SRF technical assistance circuit rider to evaluate improvements to the corrosion control treatment dosing. I had spoken and e-mailed with David Hancock on 5/4/23 regarding a sampling error for alkalinity (April was their first month of compliance monitoring for alkalinity) in which they sampled alkalinity from the source rather than entry point, therefore, they also have a an alkalinity monitoring violation for the month of April. They are also aware of the 14-day sampling interval (as opposed to just every two weeks) and the need to continue daily sampling when they drop below the minimum to demonstrate the problem has been corrected. | ||
