Details: | Phoned Chad to inquire about the DBP-13 alert received this morning. He stated that he had only just received the email. He also received an email containing the instructions to address the issue and the OEL forms required to be submitted in order to clear the issue. Update: The OEL report was received from Curtis Olson on 7-10-23 (Monday). The report did not note a cause of the elevated results, but did acknowledge that they will be switching their treatment method for oxidation from sodium hypochlorite to hydrogen peroxide. This will still oxidize and help remove the iron and manganese, but not create DBP’s. The previous 4 quarter's results had been below both TTHM and HAA5 OEL and MCL levels, but the system will need to remain on quarterly DBP sampling until further notice (updated by Evan Hofeld 7-12-23). | ||
