| Details: | The water system activated their ground water well source which is contaminated with high levels of arsenic and E.coli. The well water was run through unapproved arsenic treatment syst6em. The 6/16 arsenic sample demonstrated the arsenic treatment was not reducing the arsenic to below the maximum contaminant level (MCL). The water system been instructed to issue a "Do not Drink" advisory until additional sampling can demonstrate arsenic is below MCL and post public notice to customers. The water system has been instructed not to use the well until approved arsenic treatment is in place. The well source is not longer active and has been physically disconnected from the public water system. | ||
