| Details: | This operation has had a number of total coliform detections overt the last year. The system has done extensive flushing on the system but it has not decreased the total coliform issues. Level 2 investigation recommended that the 100,000gal elevated reservoir be cleaned since there was no record of it ever being cleaned. The operator requested that if this his action taken would the system still be required to add chlorine to the distribution.. After speaking with Brad Daniels OHA-Drinking water on 12-5-18 about this issue; it was concluded that if the reservoir was cleaned and the system had no violations for 6 months then the system would not be under order to add chlorine. The water system is currently contracting with a company to clean the elevated reservoir. NCPHD will evaluate the results of the sampling once the reservoir has been cleaned and determine if the system chlorine has to be added to this system. |
