| Details: | Steve, Susan Baker, Russ Kazmierczak and I discussed the recently signed bilateral compliance agreement and answered any questions Steve might have had about completing the actions in the agreement. A focal point of the discussion was the fact the system is currently not delivering drinking water to the public and will remain closed until after nitrate treatment is installed. We discussed the benefits of temporarily inactivating the water system, which would primarily be not monitoring for coliform and nitrate in the first quarter of 2019. Steve mentioned he will proceed with plan review and installation of nitrate treatment before MPA is conducted to determine surface water influence. Steve understands there is some risk that additional treatment will be required if the well is determined to be under the direct influence of surface water but he seems most interested in resolving the nitrate contamination quickly. I stated that Jackson County Parks is welcome to take a picture of the public notice at the campground if it remains in place unchanged through February when notice should be re-issued. | ||
