| Details: | In response to a positive routine water sample that tested positive for e. coli, I called Justin McMullen and mentioned that 3 repeat samples are required (1 at the same tap that yielded the positive result, and 2 other samples in distribution within 5 sample taps upstream and downstream from that tap), as well as one source "triggered" sample collected from the well prior to any treatment. Justin said that he will collect the samples today and get them to the lab by tomorrow morning. We also discussed how the chlorine level was <0.1 mg/L and Justin said he will check on the chlorine/treatment components of the water system to make sure they are still operating properly. I also forwarded Justin, via email, the template/instructions for a Boil Water Notice in the event that e. coli is confirmed in the water system. |
