Details: | Survey deficiencies-update. 11.22.2023-Greg informed me via email that he has reached out to David Funderburk (Quality Water LLC) to get a quote to add cartridge filtration to hopefully mitigate the system's deficiencies related to direct and indirect integrity testing requirements. Greg was advised to submit a corrective action plan as soon as possible. Greg was also advised to initiate plan review approval prior to any changes to the water treatment plant. 11.05.2023-Greg was reminded that BLM Rand Ranger Station had until October 15, 2023, to address the membrane filtration requirements regarding indirect and direct integrity testing. Next steps: to extend the survey deficiency due date Greg was advised to submit an action plan with the dates when the new water treatment process is expected to be installed. Greg was also reminded that any significant changes to the water treatment will need Drinking Water Services (DWS) pre-approval through plan review process. For specific questions on plan review process Greg was asked to contact our plan review engineer, Zach Golik. A link to Plan review resources was provided via email. 07.11.2023- Greg has reported two months of SWTR water quality parameters. Free chlorine residual is now maintained above 0.2 ppm. The turbidimeter was calibrated and instructions have been provided to continue quarterly calibration. Next steps: The system has until October 15, 2023, to address membrane filtration requirements regarding indirect and direct integrity testing. The system is considering the installation of additional filtration. The operator has been advised to contact DWS to initiate plan review prior to any changes to the existing water system. |
