| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Ty Crosby at the Bob Belloni Ranch reached out requesting assistance with ongoing issues with their ACH dosing. Assistance Provided: The circuit rider visited the Bob Belloni Ranch on 05/26/23 to jar test the raw water to determine an optimum dosing level for the water system’s coagulant, ACH. Four jars were run concurrently at dosing levels of 5, 10, 15, and 20 mg/L. The current dose used at the WTP was 5 mg/L. We noted better coagulant performance at both 10 and 15 mg/L opposed to the 5 mg/L control dose. The raw water at this time was not very turbid and the differences between the jars were slight, but noticeable. Ty elected to double the dose from 5 to 10 mg/L in an effort to improve their treatment. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The circuit rider can provide further follow-up assistance if needed. We would like to come back out when the water is a little more turbid to further refine the WTP’s coagulant dosing. |
