Details: Background/Problem Identification:

Tom Petitt from CWRES (property management firm that manages Shorewood Estates) had requested a meeting with Shorewood staff, the circuit rider, and the county regulator. Tom wished to discuss the status of their wells with respect to chlorination and also the status of the lead and copper testing/issues.

Assistance Provided:

The circuit rider worked with Derrick Koppuzha from Linn County Environmental Health and the Shorewood Estates staff to determine where Shorewood stood on the chlorination and lead/copper issues. A meeting was held on 05/22/23 with Tom, Derrick, Dan, and the Shorewood Estates staff to discuss the status of the chlorination and lead/copper issues. Shorewood Estates has recently tested out of their lead/copper compliance schedule and is now able to continue with the standard annual testing of 5 sample sites.

Tom inquired what they would have to do to get well number one back online and said they were willing to chlorinate if need be. Derrick agreed to find out what steps Shorewood Estates would need to take to bring the well back online.
