| Details: | I called Nikki Kahler and left a message regarding the recent TC positive sample at the Selma Ray's store on 07/13/2023. On my message I relayed that 3 repeat samples need to be collected as soon as possible. I received a call back on 07/14/2023 from Joan Green to discuss the recent positive sample. She informed me that the three repeat samples were already collected. I relayed that three additional temporary routine samples (in addition to the three repeats) would need to be completed in August. Additionally, I discussed that the last two coliform samples did not have a chlorine residual recorded on the lab sheet/SDWIS database. I discussed the nature of the 4-log disinfection that is installed on the system due to the E. coli positive source and that the chlorine residual needs to be maintained at 0.5 mg/L or above 4.0 mg/L. I also discussed that chlorine residual should be measured and recorded whenever a coliform sample is collected. |
