| Details: | I contacted David about the quarterly TTHM disinfection byproduct sample collected in November that exceeded the MCL. Compliance is based on a location running annual average (LRAA) and this quarterly result did not cause the LRAA to exceed the MCL so it is not a violation requiring public notice. However, the operational evaluation level (OEL) which is the same as the MCL was exceeded. That is not a violation, but it requires an operational evaluation be conducted within 90 days. I emailed templates for operational evaluation report to David this date. David has already taken steps to reduce disinfection byproducts levels in the system such as fine tuning coagulant dose, so levels should be coming down in the future. | ||
