Details: | Monitoring frequency cannot be increased. Water system is well aware of the issue. Concentrations remain stubbornly detectable but small. The detections seem to have begun corresponding to PGE's connection to the Mist compressor station in 2019 and the 3 billion cubic foot underground reservoir. It sends gas through a 13-mile pipeline to the PGE facility. The contents of this new 13-mile gas pipeline may increase the atmospheric concentration of these gases at the PGE facility. And those gases may get breathed into the 5,000 gal treated water tank. That could be how the trace contamination is getting into the treated water samples. Perhaps a DI water blank could be lain beside the finished water tank, and sampled alongside the next VOC sampling event to test this theory.
