Details: | pH excursions 02.28.2024 - Yesterday I received a letter from Mark requesting a lead and copper reduction. The system is eligible for a 3-year reduction. They have completed their two 6-month rounds of lead and copper, and sample results are less than or equal to 0.005 mg per liter for lead and 0.65 mg per liter for copper when calculated according to OAR 333-061-0030(1) for two consecutive six-month monitoring periods. An inventory update form was submitted to DMCE. No further actions needed. 07.25.2023 - I emailed Mark inquiring about the reasons why the system failed to report their 1st round of lead and copper samples that was due on June 30, 2023. For context, the system had more than 9 pH excursions (LCR) during a running six-month period that triggered two rounds of lead and copper sampling. Next steps: Mark was instructed to collect the 2nd round of lead and copper samples by December 31, 2023. After this, one more round of lead and copper samples is required between Jan 1 thru June 2024. Once these two rounds of lead and copper samples have been reported to DMCE, based on lab results, the lead and copper monitoring frequency could be reduced to once every year, or once every three years. |
