Details:	Mr. Rosa contacted our office regarding a positive coliform test result at the OVS system Judy Lane. I supported Mr. Rosa by giving him a brief tutorial of SDWIS. We reviewed the system information page and the location of their coliform sampling schedule. We discussed aseptic procedures when sampling. Mr.Rosa stated he had taken the sample from a guest restroom faucet. He explained that he wiped the faucet with alcohol and flushed for five minutes, however he did not remove the aerator. We discussed the importance of removing aerators and not sampling at swivel type faucets. Mr. Rosa was instructed to submit three repeat distribution samples and a triggered source sample from SRC-AA and SRC-AB. We discussed repeat sample locations. The repeat samples will be submitted on Monday 8/14/23 We discussed the requirement of submitting three temporary routine distribution samples in September. I will follow up with Mr. Rosa and provide him a coliform sampling plan template. I will review the new coliform sampling schedule with Mr. Rosa when the alert posts.
