Details: | Tim called on 7/26/23 to report that the Ph in the distribution he is required to test, log and submit monthly had dropped to 6.8 for the entire month of July. The set point for the Ph is 7.0. The system treats with orthophosphate due to a history of lead exceedances. Tim asked if he would be required to add an additional treatment such as caustic soda to control the Ph. Tim stated he regularly tests the Ph at the source and has noticed its dropped from 7.2-7.1 to 7.0. I directed Tim to the circuit rider program. The circuit rider was in contact with Tim. The circuit rider e-mailed to OHA technical staff regarding the issue. The circuit rider reports a similarly constructed school in Linn County that is treating for lead with orthophosphate having the same issue as Corvallis Waldorf. I discussed a probable excursion violation with Tim. Tim reported having submitted his required LCR testing. The results were not available during our first conversation but since have been reported as no detect of very low. The results are not posted in SDWIS as of 8/11/23. We will wait for guidance from the circuit rider. |
