| Details: | I received an alert 8-21-23 for a lead and copper action level exceedance for Nestucca Valley Elementary based on 5 tap samples taken 7/19/23 (3 of the 5 locations sampled had lead levels above 15 ppb). After conferring with Jaime Craig and Chuck Michael, I sent an email to Chad Holloway and Curtis Olson notifying them of the 90th percentile results (29 ppb for lead and 1.8 mg/l for copper, both over the 15 ppb and 1.3 mg/l action levels for lead and copper, respectively). I also sent updated templates for both the consumer notification and lead public education (recommending they distribute prior to the start of the school year) as well as information about the steps needed towards installing corrosion control treatment. I also spoke to both Curtis and Chad on the phone regarding the information sent in my email and let them know that a letter would be sent within a week or so outlining the steps and specific compliance deadlines. | ||
