Assistance Type: | WATER QUALITY COMPLAINT | ||
Details: | Regulator received a complaint through the Pendleton office. The person posting the complaint preferred to be anonymous and complained that they have been out of water for up to 4 days. Regulator spoke with the water association board president and husband who live in the subdivision, and they deny what was stated in the complaint. According to the president, this water system suffers seasonal variations and recognized this fall's water flow is very low. They have requested residents to limit their water usage. The association president's husband is going to look at the spring and storage tanks and contact the regulator as soon as he has info. Regulator will await his feedback. 09/08/2023 at 15:30: The association president's husband provided the regulator access to verify the amount of water in the tanks and spring collector. Both the spring collector and storage tanks had water in them. The two storage tanks (16,500 gallons total) were over half full -Tank #1 (28’ long x 7’ diameter) water level was measured at approximately 3.6' -Tank #2 (40’ long x 6' diameter) water level was measured at approximately 4.3' Regulator provided the husband copies of "Loss of system pressure boil-water notice (Tier 1)" public notice and the document "When to issue a boil water advisory when pressure is lost". Regulator also told him they need to contact my office if there is ever a loss of water pressure 09/14/2023 at 11:00: Regulator spoke with the complainant about their loss of water pressure and when it occurred. The complainant's response was that they suffered a loss of water pressure about two months ago. Regulator was not able to verify an occurrence at a more recent date. Water use restrictions have been requested to all of the residents and these restrictions have helped keep water in the system. At this point no further action is warranted. |
