| Details: | Total microcystins were detected at 0.89 ug/L in Josephine Co Parks Lake Selmac 1's routine every-two-week raw water sample collected Wednesday 9/13/23. As a result, monitoring of the raw water has been increased to weekly. An entry point (finished water) must be collected within 1 business day and entry point monitoring continue weekly going forward. Update 9/22/23: finished water sample collected 9/18/23 was non-detect for toxins. Raw water sample from 9/18/23 shows microcystins at 0.42 ug/L which is above the trigger level so they will remain on weekly raw/finished water monitoring until qualifying for a reduction (two consecutive raw water samples <0.20 ug/L & two consecutive finished water samples non-detect). Update 10/13/23: water system qualifies to discontinue entry point (EP) monitoring and return to every-two-week source monitoring since cyanotoxins were non-detect in two consecutive EP samples and less than the trigger levels in two consecutive source samples. Operator informed of schedule change by DEQ lab this date. | ||
