| Details: | This water system's 2018 annual nitrate result came back consistent with previous nitrate sample results at this system (5-8 mg/L). The 2018 result of 6.75 mg/L is above the alert level of 5 mg/L but below the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 mg/L. The system has already performed quarterly monitoring for nitrate and showed no seasonal fluctuation. I provided an information sheet about nitrate to the system and suggested the communicate the nitrate issue with users of the water system. Jim agreed this was a good idea and plans to share the handout with users. Also during this interaction it was discovered that Shane Reaney is a better onsite contact for the system.
