| Details: | OHA-DWS and the Benton County regulator had a conference call with the water system operator regarding pH excursions and the associated violations. The water system was informed that lead and copper sampling will be increased to two six-month rounds starting January 2024 with water quality parameters required. We discussed the addition of pH adjustment treatment for the purposes of maintaining a minimum pH of 7.0 and the determination of the appropriate form of treatment utilizing the EPA OCCT Template and associated forms. The OHA State Circuit Rider will contact water system staff to assist with the template and determination of additional required treatment. The addition of treatment will require OHA-DWS plan review. 10-31-24: The water system has added pH adjustment treatment. Water quality parameters shall be taken during the current lead and copper tap sampling compliance period. Corrosion control treatment parameters will then be set once that data is received. |
