| Details: | DWS received a +TC (-EC) sample from the Mink SP 3 routine sampling site. The system took the necessary repeat and triggered samples and the same routine sampling site (Mink SP 3) came back +TC only which triggered a Level 1 investigation. The system completed the investigation form and noted the following: Pressure tanks in the booster were defective with one of the tanks neither filling or draining properly. The pressure bladder inside had totally collapsed and that was allowing the little water in that tank to stagnate giving us the bad sample result. The operators replaced both of those tanks, replaced some older pipe and fittings, chlorinated the entire piping system in that booster and then flushed it thoroughly. The sample came back negative for TC and EC and the operator will do another sample there Tuesday to verify it is clear. No further actions needed. |
