| Details: | I discussed the Army Corp of Engineering water release from the Green Peter Reservoir with Dominic. The water release has dramatically increased raw water turbidity and total dissolved solids at the City's Foster Reservoir intake. The water system's coagulation and filtration treatments has been able to produce compliant finished water turbidity so far. The City has struggled with the removing water discoloration associated with the increased total dissolved solids (tannins from organics). Industry recommendations for possible coagulation changes/modification sent to the Dominic. It was encouraged to be proactive with water system customer base and information sharing about the ongoing issue as well step up frequency of disinfection bi-product sampling in the distribution system. Ensuring Further action pending changes in raw water quality. | ||
