| Details: | Repair to Water Main On 12.19.18 I received a call from Mr. Casey Nielsen, reporting a leak in their six inch main water pipe. I instructed Casey to conduct the repair with disinfected parts, flush the main water line after once the repair is completed and collect a coliform sample. This sample can be labeled as special. Mr. Nielsen later reported that they have successfully repaired the leak and maintained a free chlorine residual between 0.3 to 0.5 ppm. The system was thoroughly flushed and a special water sample was collected. On 12.21.18, Mr. Nielsen was informed by the lab that E. coli bacteria were found in special sample collected following the repair to main water line break. On 12.25.18 Mr. Nielsen posted a boil water notice. A repeat sample will be collected as soon as possible. On 12.27.18 I received an email from Mr. Nielsen reporting that the repeat sample test result came back negative for E. coli. Mr. Nielsen will remove the boil water notice and return to standard operations. |
