| Details: | July 25, 2023 survey noted an very old inadequate hand dug well not properly protected. Well was open to atmosphere and has had positive TC and E.coli in the past. Owner Bruce navigated the USFS requirements and a new well was installed 10/4/2023 and connected 11/23/23. Due to winter weather, water quality samples will be taken spring of 2024 prior to opening to the public in May. New well will need coliform, nitrate and a one-time arsenic sample. If the new well is within 100' of the old shallow well, the shallow well will need to be legally abandoned. | ||
