| Details: | Joe, So here is what I understand about follow-up with that recent MCL violation for Arsenic. 1. I need to hear from Glenn the operator, what site number he collected that water from on 11/15. - For future sampling, especially what is described below, its important to properly label bottles and lab slips to keep the data base people polite. Poor paperwork can be costly. 2. From the above site collect a sample for arsenic on four consecutive quarters starting in the first quarter of 2024. 3. Keep in mind the possibility that the Arsenic filter at that site might be spent (in need of replacement) AND you want to show what could be consumed from the kitchen tap is below the MCL level. Technically they will average next year’s 4 samples and if the ave is significantly below the MCL sampling frequency is reduced. 4. Excluding any sites previously sampled for Arsenic this year, as part of routine sampling, all kitchen faucets of residents need to be sampled. 5. Any sites with sample results for arsenic above the MCL go into the pattern described above in 2 & 3. Please call with any question. |
