Details: | I received an alert for 3 excursions that occurred in December 2023 on 1/3/24. Having previously spoken on the phone with David Hancock regarding the excursions, I sent the following e-mail as a follow-up: Hi David, I know we spoke briefly about this on the phone, but I wanted to let you know I received the alert for the excursions in December. As you can see from our data-online page at: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/lcr.php?pwsno=00556, there are 3 excursions for the 6-month period July 1 – Dec 31, 2023. As I mentioned on the phone, the 6-month "clock" restarted 1/1/24 with the end of the current 6 month period occurring on 6/30/24 – you can see this “clock restarting” in past results were the total number of excursions changes at the 1/1/23 and 7/1/23 red marks shown below. As previously discussed, when a minimum is not met for pH or alkalinity, it is important to try and resolve the issue as quickly as possible and then sample every day until the minimum water quality parameters are met. Every day for which there is no sampling data following an excursion is also counted as an excursion and you are only allowed 9 excursions in a 6-month period. I also provided a link to the contact report in the email. |
