| Details: | An email was sent that said: Kim, The State Drinking Water Services program referred your questions to me... The post card was sent to you is because you are our listed contact person for the water system. We recognize that you are not the owner of the water system (there currently is no single legal owner of the water system, rather all users/members own it collectively). Please share the information regarding these violations with all of the members/users of the Iowa Drive Water District... Oregon State rules require that the water being served by Iowa Drive Water District be tested for bacteria contaminates (Total Coliform) each calendar quarter. This has not been done (ever). I’m not sure why the State program began tracking this issue in 2018. As long as this violation remains, I presume that you will continue receiving post cards. The code says: OAR 333-061-0036(6)(F): “For …State Regulated water systems using groundwater sources, the analyses shall be made in each calendar quarter during which water is provided to the public.” If the members of the Iowa Drive Water District act to resolve the violation, water testing for bacterial contamination (Total Coliform) will need to be done during each calendar Quarter... |
