| Details: | On January 31st, Joey from Crow Water called me and we discussed the steps that were completed and physically disconnected the tank to the rest of the Deer Island Village MHP system. This is the 500 gallon steel pressure tank installed in 1965 which has not been known to be in use for over 20 years. Joey forwarded a photo of the current state of the tank. Joey said that they cut all the pipes to this tank so it can no longer connect to the water system, they capped off the piping to the tank as documented in the photo. He mentioned that one valve was added so that in hypothetical future use they can add piping to connect with that valve if they choose, although the valves are turned off. They also drained the tank, piping the water out of the door being turned on away from them to prevent breathing in the aerosols of the stagnant water, according to Joey. It is believed this 500 gallon pressure tank was used to supply a laundry room and restroom(s) in the past. |
