Details:	2/6/2024 EPA Region 10 forwarded an email complaint sent to them by a resident of the Navigation Center Arches Low Barrier Shelter on 1185 22nd St. SE Salem, OR. The complaint stated: "The facility is a low barrier shelter and I have been here for a month and the water chemicals mixed with the and also I believe it has been mixed with the food and in laundry detergent that given to us by Them I do have samples of all above items that can be tested for proof I have gotten sick from some sort of chemical here and as soon as I expressed to staff here that I'm filling a complaint less than a hour later city is here flushing everything pics provided as proof the truck tag is e275947 Salem truck with a sewer equipment of America logo." The address and the concerns were forwarded to the Salem's operator and water quality manager. DWS also responded to the email and tried to get more information from the point of contact and called but the call did not go through. DWS reviewed the coliform and chlorine residuals for the distribution system and the results were within the system's normal ranges. 2/14/24 update: Water quality manager let DWS know that they have reached out to City staff who work at and manage the Salem Navigation Center to get additional information about the situation and if there are other reports of similar complaints.
