| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Galice Resort needed a CT Study to test contact time for their system as determined by a WS survey on 10/21/2021. It was concluded that the system’s theoretical contact time calculations did not account for the minimum volume of 5,000-gallon clearwell/finished storage tank. Assistance Provided: The circuit rider developed a CT study methodology and when calculating the theoretical contact time of the current system, it was determined that it would not meet the required CT values as specified in the EPA Guidance Manual. The circuit rider communicated these findings to the WS, which resulted in the development of a corrective action plan to implement improvements that will increase the total effective volume of the system. Specifically, a CT loop will be installed post disinfection and prior to the distribution tank. Construction of the CT loop is scheduled to be completed by 02/23/2024. As a result, the deadline to complete the CT Study has been extended to 03/11/2024. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The circuit rider is able to assist further as needed, including performing the CT Study following completion of the WS improvements described above.
