| Details: | An alert was issued because two of the three temporary routine samples came back total coliform present at the tasting room sink and bathroom sink. The firm plans to treat the cement storage tank with chlorine for 24 hours and then flush the system. It was suggested to take one distribution sample at the bathroom sink or tasting room sink after the chlorine is flushed out of the system. This sample could be marked as 'special' on the lab report so that it is used for the firm's information only and not a regulatory sample. If this ‘special’ sample comes back absent, then the firm will need to take three ‘routine' samples in the month of February: one at the kitchen sink, one at tasting room sink, and one at restroom sink. If the ‘special’ sample is present then the firm will need to continue to investigate the cause and a correction for the issue. The coliform level 1 investigation form was emailed to Moe Momtazi and the deadline to get that turned in was discussed. We also discussed an onsite level 2 investigation that would be scheduled in the near future. |
