| Details: | Received a OERS report (2024-0816) about a reported sheen coming from a property upstream of City of Richland intake. The son of the property owner where the spill was reported to have occurred was contacted. The son explained that there is property easement access dispute occurring with the complainant and flow from their property. He explained that any flow from their property would flow to the Newt Young Ditch before discharging to Eagle Creek which is about a 1000 feet from their property. The property owner explained that they have not dumped any liquids and that they collect all waste oil which is used to power a waste oil heater. As a precaution, the City of Richland was contacted and informed of the incident. An after hours maintenance worker was provided information about the report and he was going to investigate to see if there was a sheen on the river. | ||
