| Details: | I received a call from a homeowner connected to the WS that has been having issues with iron buildup in water causing discoloration and staining for nearly 2 years. Steve has been in contact with the city multiple times to request flushing of water lines in his area but while flushing has occurred in other areas of the system, the flushing program has stopped short of reaching his area of the distribution. I called the system contract operator Phillip Merrill and asked him to contact Steve and see if the issue can be resolved. 4/17/24: I spoke with Phillip to follow up on the complaint. Phillip has contacted Steve but no corrective action or flushing has occurred yet. I asked Phillip if he could stop by the home to assess the water and determine if flushing will be effective. Phillip said he would stop by the week of 4/22. I emailed Steve's address to Phillip and let Steve know he would be stopping by next week. I asked Phillip to contact me with his findings. |
