Details: | I spoke with Justin McMullen regarding survey deficiencies and other violations including missed water samples and incomplete documentation for Deer Island Waterworks. - Justin says that the old water system pressure tank lying on the lawn at the time of the previous 2022 survey (which was to be used as a burn barrel) Justin believes the previous resident had removed that and will send me a photograph of its removal from the wellhead setbacks area if so. - Justin also says that he had been collecting pH sample results from September 2023 up until now, however, IT had discovered that the sample results seem to have not been delivered properly to Oregon DWS's email system, so this morning they worked to ensure those results got forwarded to DWS. - We discussed how one annual source "assessment" sample from the well is required per year, which is separate from a source "triggered" sample in the event of a positive coliform sample for instance. The "triggered" sample is not a substitute for an "assessment" sample; Justin says he will ensure an annual "assessment" sample at the well is collected. - We also discussed documentation that was missing from the water system (Emergency Response Plan, Operation & Maintenance Manual, Enabling Authority, Annual Summary Report, etc.) Justin said he will work on those but that the Consumer Confidence Report for 2023 should be already complete. Justin also claims that he is the owner of the water system. |
