| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Flooding in December 2023 from Kilchis River overflowed both well pumps and outbuildings, impacting the system's main electrical panel, chlorination system and propane backup generator. They believe relocation of the system is the only option they have, and that funding this would be a considerable expense to their District. Requesting support for finding funding opportunities to relocate the Kilchis Water District's equipment. Assistance Provided: An onsite visit was had and we discussed an alternative that would resolve accessibility of the well station during flooding of relocating the electrical components and generator across the river closer to the side of the road. Discussed ideas on emergency funding via USDA utilizing ECWAG funds for this option. Encouraged the District to obtain a Master Plan/Feasibility Study to investigate system resiliency options by connecting their system to other local water providers. Discussed connecting them to Business Oregon to fund the resiliency plan assembly. Follow-Up Actions Needed: Send out summary of onsite assessment Prepare respective funding applications for: 1.
