Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Brad Daniels from OHA/Drinking Water Services contacted the Circuit Rider (CR) on 5/8/2023 requesting that a wet-weather MPA test be performed on the well source at Smith River Marina. Shawn Stevenson from OHA/Drinking Water Services confirmed the conditions required for the test, and that it be targeted to occur during the winter of 2023-24. Assistance Provided: The CR reviewed the most recent water system survey report and MPA test requirements communicated to the water system by OHA/Drinking Water Services. Shawn Stevenson authorized on 02/05/2024 to proceed with the test. The CR visited the site on 02/06/2024 to set up the MPA test equipment for the wet-weather sampling. After several weeks of significant precipitation in the area, an additional 0.64 inches of precipitation fell during the 72-hour period prior to the start of the test. The test ran from 11:30 AM on 02/06/2024 until 8:02 AM on 02/07/2024. Readings on the test equipment water meter read 3,600 gallons at the start of the test and 5,054 gallons at the end of the test for a total of 1,454 gallons of water passing through the filter element. The sample was placed in a cooler with blue ice and sent to LabCor in Seattle for testing. Please see the attached COC and test results. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The Circuit Rider is available to assist further as needed. Technical Reports to be Prepared and Expected Timeframe: N/A |
