| Details: | Total microcystins were detected at 0.70 ug/L in Stayton's routine every-two-week raw water sample collected Monday 6/10/24. As a result, monitoring of the raw water has been increased to weekly. An entry point (finished water) sample must be collected within 1 business day and entry point monitoring continue weekly going forward. Operator informed of schedule change this date and confirmed they will collect and ship a finished water sample Wednesday 6/12/24. Update 6/14/24: finished water sample from 6/12/24 non-detect for cyanotoxins. Update 7/15/24: OHA recommended all downstream PWSs increase chlorine residuals and review optimization guidance due to elevated levels of raw water microcytins reported by Salem for sample collected Sunday 7/14/24 (14.332 ug/L). Mike indicated 7/15/24 that he would begin working toward increasing residual to 2.1 ppm per OHA recommendation. Update 9/20/24: Stayton qualifies to cease finished water monitoring and return to routine every-2-week raw water monitoring only. Operator notified this date. | ||
