| Details: | An email was received from Tony Field with Drinking Water Services, stating that he received a complaint that reported that Fry Foods treatment system is not functioning. The system has an RO unit for iron removal and POU arsenic treatment units. I called and talked to Manuel (Manny) Juarez, PWS Operator for Fry Foods. He explained that two drinking fountains, one at shipping area and one at the break room have POU arsenic treatment and they are working as expected. The firm has two RO units to remove iron, one is for the cooling towers, which does not provide access to employees. The second RO unit is on the South side of the facility and supplies the restroom hand sinks for employees among other items for processing. The RO system has been up and down, they are in the process of placing pre filters prior to the RO unit to help increase the membrane life of RO. They expect to have this all completed by this weekend. There are signs currently in the restrooms stating the issue and offering bottled water to employees. |
