| Details: | Colton did not meet disinfection CTs for 1.0 log giardia inactivation for 3 days in November 2018. On November 14, 22, and 24, chlorine residual levels at first user dropped to below 1.0 mg/L, such that CT achieved was around 97 to 98 % of CT required based on cold water temperature and pH. In response Pete has started checking chlorine residuals more frequently in the water system with his portable chlorine analyzer to ensure the minimum of 1.0 mg/L is kept at all times, so that CTs are more likely to be met at all times. I forwarded a public notice template to Pete which is required to be sent to all customers by the end of January for the November CT violation, with a dated copy to DWS. Additionally, December's CTs were met for each day. Pete will continue to use the excel CT worksheet and calculate CTs daily at the water plant. | ||
