| Details: | Jeff called to report that all four samples tested positive for Total Coliform. The reason is still unknown at this time, but we discussed checking the well casing for openings/cracks that may have contribute to contamination. Informed Jeff that a Level 1 investigation form will need to be completed, which could also help identify the reason for the positive results. A copy of the L1 form was emailed. Discussed possible corrective actions if no obvious sources of contamination are discovered, such as flushing the system and shock chlorination. Lastly, I informed Jeff that three Repeat samples will need to be collected in August; and that any additional coliform samples collected before that should be labeled as "Special" samples. |
