Details:	PR 48-2021 - Rockydale Well Restoration Project 08.12.2025 The DWS Plan Review Engineer contacted the operator with the final OHA decision on the Rockydale Wells: Reconstruction of the wells: Waived, contingent on well water receiving continuous surface water treatment. Contamination: Wells are assumed E. coli contaminated due to substandard construction and past hits. Treatment: Raw water must be treated at the surface water treatment plant and receive 4-log viral inactivation. Monitoring: Monthly assessment monitoring is canceled due to the mandatory treatment. The Public Works Director emailed back confirming that the city concurred with the requirements outlined by DWS. Next steps: PWS will work with the regulator on any monitoring and sampling requirements for the wells. 03.12.2025 Joseph Little, with Civil West, emailed Zach confirming that the City of Cave Junction is seeking final plan approval for the project. Next steps: PR engineer is still in the process of reviewing. If it appears all OHA construction standards are met, DWS should be able to issue final approval in the next couple weeks. 10.28.2024 The operator emailed me informing that he was not sure when the city is hoping to start using the Rockydale Wells. He will let us know once he finds out. 10.24.2024 The operator submitted lab results for the samples pulled from the Rockydale Wells. Included were tests for SOCs, IOCs, VOCs, TOCs, Total Coliform, DBPs, Radionuclides, as well as a Great 35 for all three wells. Plan reviewer requested an update on the City's time frame to begin using the wells. Before the wells can go online, the city will need to verify that the wells meet the Oregon Water Resources Department's construction standards. 08.15.2024 Operator reached out regarding next steps for final plan review approval and source water sampling needed for the Rockydale wells project. The operator was advised to contact Zach Golik for instructions on final plan review approval.
