| Details: | I spoke with Lexie about nitrate exceeding the maximum contaminant level (MCL) in drinking water at the water system. I explained that simply because there are no children or pregnant women living at the park now, there's no guarantee that won't change and that the expectation is for anyone to drinking water in their home and know nitrate will be at safe concentrations. Because nitrate has been consistently high for years and recently exceeded the MCL, we can't predict when water will be considered safe or unsafe. I suggested we utilize the circuit rider service to assess the well construction and determine the source of nitrate contamination, most likely a septic system or agriculture and determine the best path forward to ensure nitrate remains reliably below the MCL. |
